Question by Throbbing Wet Hole: i have read alot about building a koi pond but i am unsure of where to put the skimmer, filter and pump?
does anyone have a diagram of where to put all the stuff, preferrably the pond would be L shaped. or can you tell me please because videos on youtube etc… dont really say where the filter etc goes.

It doesn’t really matter. You just need one.
The filter will set up a gentle current around the pond no matter where you put it, so all the water gets moved and filtered eventually.
I would however suggest putting the intake and outlet at opposite ends to maximise the water circulation. The pump and filter can be put where ever you have space to fit them. Usually determined by the arrangment of the rest of your garden. But one idea would be to build a wooden box that can be used as a garden seat, and put the filter in there. Gives a handy place to sit and watch your fish, and hides the ugly filter plumbing.
